Bet on Lowndes County at the 2nd Annual LCF Casino Night!

Join us for the Lowndes Community Foundation's Second Annual Casino Night! Try your hand at Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, and Poker while giving back to the community. It isn’t real gambling, but it is real fun!

hile you enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres, and games, we’ll also showcase the nonprofits we supported with our 2025 grants. At the end of the night, we'll raffle off some amazing prizes, and the winner of a special game of high stakes poker will designate a nonprofit of their choice to receive a special grant of $2,500.*

How does Casino Night work?

Casino Night is all about playing games and raising money for charity! Last year, we raised over $35,000 and had a blast with Bama Casino Company. So we've invited their amazing, professional dealers and DJ back this year to bring all the fun of Las Vegas while we build LCF's endowment. Everyone receives $500 in playing chips, and additional chips can be purchased at the event, but nothing is exchanged for money at the end of the night.

Instead, everyone—including those who don't play or who lose all of their chips—will get one ticket to a raffle, and those who end the evening with more chips get a few additional raffle tickets (capped at ten). Donated prizes include six nights in a beachside condo on Hwy 30A, five nights at a resort in Cabo San Lucas, and a guided quail hunt at Fincher Farms in the Mississippi Delta!

Lowndes Community Foundation's Impact

LCF is a public charity run by and for the residents of Lowndes County. Funding for our annual grants comes from the investment income earned by the foundation’s permanent endowment, which grows as tax-deductible gifts are made by individuals, organizations, and local businesses. This makes us a reliable and financially sustainable source of funding for the public good.

In just the last three years, LCF awarded over $105,000 in grants to local projects. We fund a broad range of causes, from groups serving the most vulnerable (Good Samaritan Clinic, Helping Hands, Junior Auxiliary, St. Vincent de Paul, Safe Haven and more!) to those raising the bar for cultural enrichment and education in our communities (for instance, the Golden Triangle Theatre, a film production by Cook Elementary School fourth and fifth graders, and the Possumtown Book Festival). We also support pillar institutions like the Columbus Air Force Base, the Columbus-Lowndes Public Library, and the YMCA. Through our affiliation with the CREATE Foundation of Northeast Mississippi, we are able to offer additional benefits, whether temporary fiscal sponsorship for a project or emergency disaster relief funding. You can learn more about our work and board members on our website.

Casino Night is our annual fundraiser, helping to grow our endowment and--through that investment--increasing the amount we can give in perpetuity. We hope you'll join us as we bet on the future of Lowndes County!
